Dr. James White in St. Charles

Apologist Dr. James White is conducting a seminar at Covenant of Grace Church in St. Charles this weekend.  The seminar is on the topic of the historical reliability of the New Testament.

Proposition:  Each believer is to spend their life involved in missions.

Transition:  In our text for today, we see 6 reasons why we are to be involved in missions.

I.  We must be involved in missions because Christ has given us this work. (v. 38)

II.  We must be involved in missions because now is the time for this work. (v. 35)

III.  We must be involved in missions because missions is a necessary work. (v. 42)

IV.  We must be involved in missions because our God will save. (vv. 36, 41)

V.  We must be involved in missions because we ourselves have experienced its work.  (v. 42)

VI.  We must be involved in missions because the work of missions brings rewards. (vv. 36 - 38)

Our walk through the Bible continues this Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. followed by prayer time.  I am presenting a 20 minute overview of each book of the Bible, one book each week.  We have already looked at Genesis and Exodus.  This week we tackle Leviticus.

A.  He was Created by a Divine Creator.
B.  He was Commissioned with a Divine Commission.
C.  He was Certain of Divine Certainty.
D.  He was Called to a Divine Calling.

II.  Jesus had a Plan for Life (v. 34)
A.  He Planned to Live an Active Life.
B.  He Planned to Live an Obedient Life.

III.  Jesus had a Purpose for Life  (v. 34)
A.  His Purpose was to Complete God’s Work.
B.  His Purpose was to Fulfill God’s Work.
