“A Model for Life”
John 4:31-38
Proposition: Jesus’ earthly life provides us with a perfect model for living our lives.
Transition: Jesus’ message to the disciples in this text provides us with 3 aspects of his model for living, a model we need to embrace.
I. Jesus had a Philosophy of Life (v. 34)
A. He was Created by a Divine Creator.
B. He was Commissioned with a Divine Commission.
C. He was Certain of Divine Certainty.
D. He was Called to a Divine Calling.
II. Jesus had a Plan for Life (v. 34)
A. He Planned to Live an Active Life.
B. He Planned to Live an Obedient Life.
A. His Purpose was to Complete God’s Work.
B. His Purpose was to Fulfill God’s Work.
